This outdoor-pursuits loving couple came to us wanting an interior renovation of their entrance hall area. They were looking to have something beautiful and functional designed that would be welcoming and practical whilst housing all the gear, shoes, jackets etc that keen outdoor enthusiasts gather, and they wanted to be able to sit to change shoes.

We chose English Ash planks for a clean, natural Lobby ambiance, taking the horizontal lines all the way to the base of the staircase. We built an under-stair storage closet with shelving and hanging space for clothing and gear, used wooden pegs to harmonise with the Ash planks and built shoe storage drawers that pivot open from the bottom under a sitting bench for easy access and shoe changes whilst seated.

It is a great space and really compliments the couple’s lifestyle and interests.
