The Entrance Lobby

We love the mountains and we used the beautiful Ash hardwood planks in this hallway/lobby to make an authentic connection between outdoor pursuits and contemporary living.

This outdoor-pursuits loving couple came to us wanting an interior renovation of their entrance hall area. They were looking to have something beautiful and functional designed that would be welcoming and practical whilst housing all the gear, shoes, jackets etc that keen outdoor enthusiasts gather, and they wanted to be able to sit to change shoes.

We chose English Ash planks for a clean, natural Lobby ambiance, taking the horizontal lines all the way to the base of the staircase. We built an under-stair storage closet with shelving and hanging space for clothing and gear, used wooden pegs to harmonise with the Ash planks and built shoe storage drawers that pivot open from the bottom under a sitting bench for easy access and shoe changes whilst seated.

It is a great space and really compliments the couple’s lifestyle and interests.

The Homegrown Staircase

We were approached by a client converting a traditional barn to make, out of a beautiful old Sycamore Tree being harvested from their land for the build, a staircase.

The Home Drinks Bar

Rather than a more elaborate Cocktail bar, this client wanted a simple, discreet looking bar area, away from the kitchen but attached to the lounge in an open plan living space, to prepare and share drinks.

The Artists Wardrobe

The brief here was to create wardrobes either side of the chimney in this artists art deco house.

The Home Office

This client wanted a home office in a space which incorporates a stained-glass window casting beautiful light across one corner of the room.
